UPCOMING CHAPTERS

PAST WRONGS-
As a Sioux, I understand my individuality. Because of this I could never hold any blame of past wrongs toward you. If you continue to impose past wrongs on me, then you have never left the past.

WHY WE SPEAK IN FICTION-
Since you do not know my heart and have never walked my path, I understand that I must tell you of who I am and when you hear my words and apply the uniqueness of the human being, then you will begin to see the truth of my path and how it relates to yours.

THE IMPORTANCE OF INDIVIDUALISM-
To place a role model over any child is to deny the uniqueness of that child's individuality, for that child could never become the role model.

ROOM TO GROW-
When one starts down the path of life, each step brings a new experience. That is the only way we can grow.

INSULT TO THE TEACHER-
The teacher gives information to nourish the individual in hopes that they will grow. If the individual can only speak of what the teacher has said and has not applied their personal and unique understanding then the teacher has failed and the student is trapped in the circle of the animal.

WHY WE MUST EARN THE RIGHT TO BE CALLED ELDERS, MOTHER, FATHER, BROTHER, SISTER, FRIEND-
Each of these are requesting your honor, caring your love in a way that will help them grow. You must always remember your obligation.

THE MEDICINE MAN-
A name given to the doctors of the Native American people. Can your medicine man practice the traditional teachings by treating your illness, broken bones, infections and sickness as any doctor would? If not, then he is a phony.

SPIRITUAL MAN-
Can your spiritual man explain the meaning of life or tell you all the teachings of the medicine wheel. He must be able to explain all things related to the spiritual and physical plane this is his function to encourage harmony and bring about the ability to become human.

WHITE BUFFALO CALF WOMAN-
Her story of her life in the physical and spiritual planes.

WHAT MUST BE DONE FOR THE RETURN OF THE BUFFALO, AS FORETOLD BY THE WHITE BUFFALO CALF WOMAN-
The understanding of the Seven Creeds.

THE PIPE-
Does the man who holds the pipe hold the woman sacred? If not then he disgraces the meaning of the pipe.

SWEAT LODGE CEREMONY-
Are they conducted by the number of rocks? If so, they are wrong for the ceremony is composed of many individuals who enter to communicate with their God or spirits, not to struggle for breath. Any human knows when a struggle exists the communication lines to the spirits are broken.

THE ONE WHO POURS WATER-
Are they only interested
in the aspect of macho or do they look at each individual judging the circle of people entering the sweat lodge? Is the water poured so that these people may sit within the atmosphere of a mother's womb, relaxed and secure so that they are free to communicate with their spirits and God?

HEALING-
Are healing ceremonies conducted in a sweat lodge designed for the person who is sick and weak or do they injure by being handled by the macho aspect?

CALLING THE SPIRITS IN THE SWEAT LODGE-
Is the ceremony done so that those entered can call their spirits or is the lodge so hot that the others are denied and only the strong can call his spirits and the weak must sit in rejection?

EAGLE AND EAGLE FEATHER-
When one does not follow these symbols they cannot be Native American. These two symbols are the basic connection to our spiritual plane as equally as the Cross, Star of David or any other religion's primary symbol. There are those who follow their spiritual teachings on their journey back to their Great Spirit and then there is the real Indian who follows his teachings so that each can journey with their families. Which are you? Do you choose to turn your back on your family and journey with another who you now claim as family?

NAMING CEREMONIES-
Each name has a physical and spiritual meaning. Each individual is given a unique name to help them understand the path in life they walk is only theirs.

MEDICINE WHEEL-
Explains why the Native Americans cannot separate their spirituality from their physical existence. Those who speak of four directions and do not put the meaning of the four creeds first, know nothing of the culture, spirit and religion. For without the creeds there is no need for direction.

WOMEN CEREMONIES-
Within the cultural teachings of the Sioux the women are held as equal. They have their own societies and their own way of life that they must learn. With the sureness of who they are they exist with the male as equals.

DANCES, WHY THEY ARE RELIGIOUS-
They express the spiritual nature of the Native A
merican.

SUN DANCE-
Shows that the man understands the pain and suffering as equally as a mother who has given birth. It must only be conducted by those who have earned the right to walk with the name, Father or Grandfather, otherwise the meaning is lost.

HOOP DANCE-
Shows the understanding of the spiritual and physical. Each hoop deals with the Circle of Life and only knowledge can give us the ability to move through those hoops as does the dancer.

FANCY DANCE-
The free expression of the individual's spirit.

TRADITIONAL DANCE-
The strong base in which the people have grown from.

BUFFALO DANCE-
Two parts: The calling of the buffalo and the thankfulness of a good hunt.

RABBIT DANCE-
Done by women and elderly to show the support and unity of all who are dancing.

WARRIOR SOCIETY-
Once they stood in the defense of honor and dignity and protection of the child's rights, but no longer do they remember the respect of the elderly nor care of respect for children which are the future. The modern Warrior Society has forgotten that if he cannot protect his family he cannot be a warrior but only a sell out to the enemy.

WHY WE COUNT COUP-
It shows the essence of a human in battle.

THE TERRORIST-
Why this individual could never exist with the spiritual teachings of the Sioux.

DREAM CATCHER-
The core meaning speaks of all the different paths we will walk in life and after we have walked them we will cross to the center on a journey home to show our shame and our honor to our relatives that we will meet along the way to the Great Spirit.

THE JOURNEY THAT THE TREE TELLS US OF THE WAY HOME-
The spiritual man will be able to tell you how the tree shows you the many paths that you will walk down and experience. So when you meet the Great Mystery you will have the ability to understand what it is about and become part of it.

MEANING OF THE VISION-
To find your path in life for that path is only meant for you but until you look inside yourself with honesty it is always hard to see. If the individual has no vision of life how do they
benefit the Circle of Life? Journey with us and understand why your uniqueness has always been cherish by the Sioux
