WICHITA NORTH HIGH SCHOOL,
KANSAS
" redskins"
A Sentence of Death
"The Shame
of Public School Education" a photo essay
"... and the
trophy hunters once again were at work"
Only 38 years after Wounded
Knee, the Sioux become mascots at Wichita North High School
A people's spirits
cannot be honored with their religious symbols until the true
meaning of those religious symbols are understood and the true
history of those spirits is told.
What is the history of racial,
ethnic and religious hate that must not be forgotten, sugar coated
or rewritten by people who want to turn their hearts and eyes away
from the suffering that human beings still struggle against?

Nazis executing Jews for their religious beliefs
in the occupied Soviet Union.
If Hitler's youth groups had come from America these dead Jews would
have been made mascots at Wichita North High in 1979

1930 United States of America
The typical lynching included taking body parts as souvenirs before
and after death.

Trophies of the hunt
Mass Grave of Indian children, women and men at Wounded Knee, South
Dakota
they died for their religious beliefs and the color of their skin.
EACH OF THESE ETHNIC, RACIAL and
RELIGIOUS GROUPS HAVE SUFFERED
PERSECUTION AND DEATH
And the trophy hunters once again
were at work
Aren't they all noble enough to be honored by
being made into American Mascots?
Or is that a special fate reserved only for the red race?

ONLY IN AMERICA ARE NATIVE
HUMAN BEINGS MADE INTO MASCOTS
Other countries know mascots are
animals
Can the U.S. learn the difference?
