Kept in internment camps for a year, he gave the sentence of death to thousands of babies. Before, during and after the Trail of Murder, when 8,000 Cherokee died by his orders. Dysentery, Cholera, Tuberculosis and Pneumonia claimed thousands of victims. Children suffered torturous deaths, suffocating as fluid filled their tiny lungs.
