Wichita North High School has a large population of Hispanic students.
Hispanic religious preference is overwhelmingly Catholic.
Why is the religious symbol of a Native American woman used to guard their trash?
They should be using their own women to guard the trash.
Hispanics deny their Indian heritage or they would simply call themselves "Indian" not Hispanic.

HEY PACCUCO, YOU A REDSKIN?
Don't you remember what the church did to your family?

Following Columbus, each time the Spanish "conquistadores" encountered a Native individual or group in the course of their travels they were ordered to read to the "redskins" a statement, informing them of the truth of Christianity and the necessity to swear immediate allegiance to the Pope and to the Spanish crown.

After this, if the Indians refused or even delayed in their acceptance (or more likely their understanding) of the requerimiento, the statement continued:

"I certify to you that, with the help of God, we shall powerfully enter into your country and shall make war against you in all ways and manners that we can, and shall subject you to the yoke and obedience of the Church and of Their Highnesses. And we shall take your goods, and shall do you all the mischief and damage that we can, as to vassals who do not obey and refuse to receive their lord and resist and contradict him." (Stannard, p.66)

(One) cruel captain traveled over many leagues, capturing all the Indians he could find. Since the Indians would not tell him who their new lord was, he cut off the heads of some and threw others to the dogs, and thus they were torn to pieces. They would cut an Indian's hands and leave them dangling by a shred of skin...(and) they would test their swords and their manly strength on captured Indians ands place bets on the slicing off of heads or the cutting of bodied in half with one blow." (Stannard p.150)

But true to their adopted Christian religious heritage there is the fascination with a lie,
and they will not stand for being called "Indians"

YET... they can't be white because the white man will not let them.
He looks at them and doesn't see one of God's children, he sees a "Wet Back" trying to speak a foreign language in his New World, America the land of the "free".

So the white man goes to the State Legislature and writes a law called "ENGLISH ONLY" against you. Even though you no longer speak your Native tongue and have adopted the white man's Christian ways you are still not considered to be a human being.

Why have Hispanics taken up the religion of the one's who murdered their families?
They have taken up the white man's religion to honor their family by making them into their mascots.
But why do they speak Spanish and not one of the hundreds of Native languages of their families?

GENOCIDE STOPPED THEM!
North High School, a "neighborhood school", uses this catch word, "neighborhood school"
to rationalize its heavily segregated school system,
should be using the popular dominant Catholic religious symbol of their neighborhood to guard their trash.
We are speaking of the Virgin Mary, the unwed mother, true symbol of the Catholic marriage.
