a bigoted joke mocking their traditional religious ways.
The eagle feather is a religious symbol of great significance.

Molly Moo Cow and the Indians was produced by Van Bureun Studios in 1936.
This was the time when public schools were making mascots of Indians.
There was no intent to honor Indians in this day of segregation and mockery of
Native American religions.
