HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS SEND
RAPE THREATS

DURING CLASS

LITTLE RIVER, KANSAS

The following hate letter was sent to the home of Native American activist Matthew Richter, from inside Little River High School on February 9th, 1999 the day after a local newspaper published his letter condemning their use of "redskins", a 500 year old hate name. High school students are alleged by Rice and McPherson County Sheriff's investigators to have used the school's computer and internet connection to send it from their classroom. Two students 17 and 16 years of age alleged to have sent it have been arrested by Rice County Sheriff's deputies. They are charged with making criminal threats and disorderly conduct. Court appearances are scheduled for May 11th, 1999, in Rice County Kansas.
